Greater Baltimore
Urban League Guild

Uniting Volunteers for
Community Empowerment and Support

The Greater Baltimore Urban League Guild stands as the heartbeat of volunteerism within the Greater Baltimore Urban League, championing the mission to extend public understanding and bolster support for the National Urban League and its transformative programs. As an essential volunteer auxiliary, Guild members are pivotal in promoting voter registration and rights, embodying the spirit of civic engagement and empowerment.

Our Goal

Founded in New York City in 1942 by Mrs. Mollie Moon, the first Guild set forth with a vision to “Enhance and improve relations with the community and general public; develop and implement community programs and fundraising activities on behalf of the Urban League affiliate.” This mission continues to guide Guild members as they donate their time, skills, and passion to make a meaningful difference in the community.
